LaTanya Janteya was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul Minnesota. She began her dance journey studying Liturgical dance at age three until age twelve. She then studies at Lundstrum School of Dance for a year with a focus in Broadway arts. LaTanya attended Mainstreet Performing Arts High School (now PIM Arts High School) for all four years. Upon graduating she attended Concordia St. Paul College where she continued her dance training for one academic school year and now studying at the University of Minnesota. LaTanya went on to become a Timberwolves Dancer completing two seasons with the organization. She has since established her own open class dance company within the Twin Cities dance community.

LaTanya has studied many different dance forms under artist around the country. These include Cecchetti Ballet technique, Modern (Graham, Horton and Cunningham technique), Liturgical, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Heels, etc.
