Mackenzie Karels was born and raised in Apple Valley, Minnesota and currently living in the Burnsville area. She started her dancing career in 2009 at Betty Jo’s Dance Center in her hometown where she learned Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Kickline, and ultimately discovered her love for dance. 

Mackenzie continued her passion for dance while she attended Apple Valley High School by performing side line at soccer and football games (Hip Hop & Kick) and competing on their winter team (Jazz and Kick). She was a varsity level dancer throughout those 4 years and was a 2 year captain. Mackenzie was selected to perform as an All-State dancer through Minnesota Association of Dance Teams to represent the top Kick dancers in the state of Minnesota. 

When Mackenzie Graduated high school she began to take adult dance classes around the twin cities at various studios and coach dance teams. Mackenzie’s dance goal is to be a Timberwolves dancer one day. Mackenzie has started her first season with Vibe’d and is excited to grow as a dancer and get back to performing.
